Saturday 11 September, 1pm

All of today's new cases are in Auckland.

The Ministry of Health released today's information via statement. It says the slight increase in new cases is not unexpected, with changes likely as contacts of cases get day 5 and day 12 tests.

In total, 866 cases have been epidemiologically linked to the outbreak. That means 36 cases still need to be linked - 9 of those are from today's new cases. 289 people have also recovered.

Hospitalisations

There are 19 people in hospital - all in Auckland. Of those, 4 are in the ICU or in high dependency unit.

Sub-clusters

The Ministry says it has identified 17 sub-clusters in total. 8 have been epidemiologically linked, including the two largest subclusters. These are the  Mangere church group (375 cases) and Birkdale social network cluster (76 cases).

That leaves 9 epidemiologically unlinked sub-clusters.

Contact tracing

So far, 38,142 contacts related to the cluster have been identified. Of those 87 percent have been contacted by contact tracers. 92 percent have also had at least one test.

There are still locations of interest being added in relation to the outbreak. The full list of locations of interest is available here at the Ministry of Health site.

There is also a new case at the border - a returned traveller at MIQ.
