There are 65 new community cases today. 31 are yet to be linked to the outbreak.
All of today's cases are in Auckland. 10 are household contacts.
34 people are in hospital, with 6 in ICU or the high-dependency unit.
There has also been Covid detected in wastewater tests in Te Awamutu this week. The Health Ministry said in a statement public health officials were yet to identify anyone who returned to the Waikato town from managed isolation and quarantine and could be shedding the virus.
Further, the 2 cases announced in Waikato on Wednesday are yet to be linked to the outbreak.
Today's update, released via statement from the Health Ministry, comes after 71 new cases were identified yesterday.
Overall, there are now 107 cases yet to be linked to the outbreak from the past 14 days.
There is also 1 new case at the border today.
Today's community cases bring the total number of infection in the current outbreak to 1855.
