There are 14 new cases of Covid-19 today.
Of these, 2 are in Northland, 9 are in Auckland, 2 in Waikato, and 1 in Wellington.
The Wellington case is linked to the Hidden Valley Festival in Matakana, north of Auckland, on December 27. Investigations are ongoing.
There are also two new cases in Canterbury. The Ministry of Health was notified about these cases after the cut-off time and these will be added to Wednesday's case numbers.
There are 34 people in hospital, with 2 of those people in intensive care or high dependency units.
The average age of people currently in hospital is 55.
95 percent of New Zealand's eligible population have had the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 92 percent have had a second dose.
There have been 4,726,800 vaccine pass downloads, including 8,041 in the last 24 hours.
More than 36 percent of those who are currently eligible for booster shots have had one, meaning a total of 548,733 booster doses have now been given since they became available in late November 2021.
