There are 143 new cases of Covid-19 in the community today. 135 cases are in Auckland, six in Waikato and two in Northland. There are no new cases in Christchurch.
73 cases are as yet unlinked and under investigation.
The total number of cases in the current outbreak is 3,348.
There are 56 people in hospital, an increase of nine from yesterday. There are 17 people in Waitemata hospital, 17 in Middlemore, 21 in Auckland and one in Waikato. Of these, two people are in intensive care.
The total number of cases in Christchurch has been reduced to four after a previously reported Christchurch case was reclassified as historical.
There were 42,617 vaccine doses given yesterday.
