Is tattoo the new wellness trend?

At Imposter Inc tattoo studio in Tāmaki Makaurau, the space has been designed to create a warm and safe environment.

The studio’s artists Becks Carruth and Matt Trevelyan believe they have an important role in making sure their clients are cared for and given a space where they can relax and also unload.

“I guess it’s just a release for people and we always end up having really deep conversations,” Becks says.

They’ve both seen their work become a time where people not just get a tattoo but also invest in their wellbeing.

“I have a guy who comes to me every six weeks and it’s like his therapy,” Matt says.
