Māori celebrate Matariki in Australia

There’s over 65,000 Māori living in Queensland, Australia - the biggest population outside of Aotearoa.

Ohinga visited the first Matariki festival on the Gold Coast to see how it’s being celebrated.

Ohinga is series created by and for rangatahi Māori, made by Mahi Tahi with funding from Te Māngai Pāho.
