Te Rua Wallace and Te Maioha Rurehe are a young Māori couple who have just bought their first home and share some tips they picked up during their daunting task of becoming homeowners. 

For them, it was about more than just owning property; it was about reclaiming whenua. 

“We want to be millionaires, rich in whenua.” 

For them, it was essential to normalise openly talking about owning a house and sharing the same values, like budgeting and being frugal, to achieve their goal.
