The UN calls the Rohingya "the most persecuted minority in the world." Although they have lived in the land now known as Myanmar for hundreds of years, they are illegal immigrants according to Myanmar law. For the past few decades, the country's military government has been forcing Rohingya out of the country through a level of violence that has been called genocide.
