Red Light Boys is an intimate look into the day-to-day lives of a group of young New Zealand male sex workers. Alongside the stories of the young sexually diverse, cis-male and transgender sex workers is the perspective of a 55-year-old sex worker, who began his journey in the industry at the age of 14 before the decriminalisation of prostitution.
The series shares their thoughts, feelings and first-hand experiences as they navigate the misunderstood and opaque world of the New Zealand male sex worker. The series uncovers the beauty and realities of the everyday lives of the men working in a profession that is more often than not, the ire of controversy and stigmatisation.
